July 1, 2016 – Cameron recently launched a greatly expanded and re-envisioned website for The Employment Connection, a program of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Suffolk that connects workers with disabilities and employers on Long Island.
The website, which introduces a rebranding of the program, provides employers with a wide range of resources to reduce time and money spent on the hiring process and educates them about the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities; and informs individuals with disabilities and their families about the many services offered by the program.
A highlight of the website are new Cameron-produced testimonial videos featuring success stories from satisfied employers and workers who found employment through The Employment Connection.
The site includes a password-protected interactive Job Board where registered employers can post new job openings and review profiles of job seekers, including video profiles prepared by The Employment Connection. Registered job seekers can review the available positions and request more information about jobs that interest them.
Cameron has also begun an outreach program to inform Long Island employers, trade associations, job seekers with disabilities and their families, as well as service and care coordinators at other area agencies and schools, about the expanded website and services available.
