May 13, 2015 –Cameron was selected by Dowling College this spring to lead the development and production of promotional materials for two of its flagship annual events: the Long Island Youth Summit and Commencement.
The Youth Summit is a year-round program where high-school students work with their teachers and experts to create projects and to develop solutions to socio-medical, environmental and socio-economic issues that impact Long Island. This year 280 students from over 20 school districts from both Nassau and Suffolk counties participated in the Summit as finalists. During the school year the students work on original projects such as essays, videos, art work and slide presentations and submit their projects to the Youth Summit’s Selection Committee. For the 2015 Summit, held on April 17 at Dowling, Cameron designed and produced the extensive Conference Program; Certificates of Honor, Certificates of Award, and Certificates of Scholarship Eligibility for the participants; and other ancillary materials, such as name badges.
In addition, Cameron designed and produced the program for Dowling’s 2015 Commencement ceremonies, which featured the presentation of degrees to members of the undergraduate and graduate Class of 2015, as well as an honorary degree for legendary singer, author and motivational speaker Gloria Gaynor.
